Teacher & Staff Appreciation

Several years ago, we adopted the Rena B Wright Elementary (K-2) School in South Norfolk.  Over the years, we have developed a tremendous respect for the faculty and staff.  A truly dedicated group, they go above and beyond in helping their students.  Each Christmas, we give each teacher and staff member a poinsettia to show how much we appreciate their efforts for our community.

Peace to All this Holiday Season

Great Bridge Kiwanis entry in the South Norfolk Public Library  Christmas Tree Gala - Winter Wonderland.  Tree designed and decorated by Secretary Jim Chellew.

Battle of Great Bridge

Two of the many reenactors and spectators who sampled our modern fare during the two day reenactment of the Revolutionary War Battle of Great Bridge.  Thanks to lots of help form the Grassfield HS Key Club and some good weather, we had a very successful fundraiser.

Reading is Fundamental

President Elizabeth Griffing's reading (with voices) of How the Grinch Stole Christmas had the students at Broadlawn Head Start on the edge of their mats.  Thanks to the R.E.A.C.H. foundation, each child took home two books.  We also read Dr Seuss ABC's. Tango Makes Three, and Esqueval!
